Micra Biotechnologies, formed in 1989, specializes in all phases
of antimicrobial activity evaluations from ethical antibiotic drugs
to high performance disinfectants and sanitizers. Over the past
31 years, we have made significant advances in the antibiotic assay
technologies which include the initial development of a computer
driven image analyzer (Omnicon 3800 Biologics Inc. which we continue to support ) with a proprietary algorithm to continuously monitor attributes relating to zone quality and assay accuracy.
Micra has also developed a 4hour cylinder plate method permitting
same day bioassay results. Partnering with pharmaceutical companies worldwide, we have helped bring to market new innovative antibiotic containing products in a wide variety of forms and applications. Our assessments of disinfectants and sanitizers take into consideration indicator organism physiology, its preparation, application and interaction with product. These considerations result in a more accurate activity assessment and avoids overuse of product.
